We are children of the Spirit, not of the Flesh
Yesterday's Epistle caught my attention;
-- Galatians 22-31
Interesting, isn't it? St. Paul is saying that while once, we were children of the bondwoman -- children of the flesh -- Christ has made us children of the free woman -- children of the Spirit.
Isn't that amazing? Once, we were a worldly people, but thanks to Christ's saving Grace, we are people of the Spirit! We are not of this world, rather, we are simply living here, biding our time, until we are called home.
Christ is calling us, every one of us, to become a child of the Spirit. It is up to us whether or not we hear and answer the call.
We are called to be "In this world, but not of this world."
After all, who is the prince of Earth? Satan!
We are called to set the example for those who do not hear, or choose not to hear. By following Christ's example in all things, we show others the beauty of our faith.
Christ loves you so very much, that he suffered and died for you. He is our Savior, the least we can do to thank him is to follow his Heavenly example.
And with that inspiring (for me anyway!) thought, I bid you all a good morning.

For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, and the other by a free woman.
But he who was of the bondwoman, was born according to the flesh: but he of the free woman, was by promise.
Which things are said by an allegory. For these are the two testaments. The one from mount Sina, engendering unto bondage; which is Agar:
For Sina is a mountain in Arabia, which hath affinity to that Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
But that Jerusalem, which is above, is free: which is our mother.
For it is written: Rejoice, thou barren, that bearest not: break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for many are the children of the desolate, more than of her that hath a husband.
Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
But as then he, that was born according to the flesh, persecuted him that was after the spirit; so also it is now.
But what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son; for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free woman.
So then, brethren, we are not the children of the bondwoman, but of the free: by the freedom wherewith Christ has made us free.
